Wrapped in snow

Our fall comes to a close soon, it will be over taken with the smell of cinnamon and what we all hope is the nip of snow, at least for a while.  Strung Christmas lights wrapped around the banister and garland being made on the floor, but before all of this we get the joy and hectic nature of both Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Tis is the season, turn turn turn...

Everybody's got their thing.  You know, for some it is physical activity, reading, sailing... honestly you name it and I am sure it would work.   My husband's thing is media... all forms really.  And through all his experience he has valid and even clinical opinions and critiques of most media (generally they are very unbiased opinions, more analytical), save for The Wonder Years.  Don't get me wrong it is a fun show but my husband has grander ideas than truly exist.  In his mind it is a really good (Keep in mind this is not a matter of enjoyment but an analytical opinion) show... which let's face it, fun as it is, that's just not true.

I'd be like me claiming that the Goonies should be critically acclaimed.  Now, this is not me trashing the Goonies (I love watching the Goonies), no, it is me simply facing the facts that in spite of my deep enjoyment... it doesn't deserve any awards.  Well, maybe a people's choice for, well I can't really think of a category but something.

Truth or Dare

Yet another editing challenge!

But first I want to share a couple little fun facts about me, thanks to a challenge from Rebecca

Truth

1.  I am listening to Christmas Music right now... I know it is only Oct but I have been holding off this desire since July so give me some credit ;P

2. I'm pretty sure that I have spilt personalities.  I love fashion, high fashion at that but hate spending money.  I like decorating but again don't like spending money, so I have to get pretty creative.  I get crazy days where I just want to organize and clean stuff... it doesn't ever seem enough, yet others when I am ok with stuff not being in place: this is something that I don't get about myself... why is this ok?

3.  I cannot for the life of me use commas correctly and I spell phonetically I'm a bad speller (ie wrong about 84% of the time... but I figure you can still figure out what I am saying since you can sound it out).  I get semicolons, colons... you name it.  But commas... *sigh of a thousand deaths* are the end of me.  I once had a college professor mark on my paper: "Comma Splice:  is the use of a comma to join two independent clauses."

Or Dare: now it's your turn to share *insert evil laugh*

Continuing on with edits with Picasa, this image was sharpened a bit.  The light was pulled up, as were the highlights and pulled out the existing colors a bit.

Any-Holla

Whenever I write... or in this case type, "before" and "after"  I feel like someone is going to show up having had a makeover.  None so terrifying as when "Swan" did it. Do you remember that show?  Oh, man was that creepy.  It was like a Play-Doh factory.  Anywhoo, here is todays "makeover"

Crazy awesome, yep that's me

...or just plan crazy.  Sitting here I visualize myself in "Taxi Driver" but not just as any role, no I am am the slightly insane Robert De Niro staring at the mirror asking for a challenge.  Do you ever have one of those days?  My hands can't quite seem to keep still, itching to do something they haven't let me in on.  I try reorganizing, no luck.  I try cleaning and taking pictures, yet my hands seem anxious for something, but won't let me in on the secret.

Tell:  I looked out side today and it was the first leaf down.  Sadly it fell brown... it had no joy to bring with it's reds, oranges or yellows... all the same it is the first leaf down and oh, so many more to come.

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell...

If you haven't gotten it yet: I LOVE FALL AND WINTER!  I'm like a kid on 12 pixie sticks when it comes to these seasons.  Maybe it is because of all the amazing clothes I get to wear or maybe it is because of the fact that I can see my breath or even better yet it is because of all the holidays that happen.  Labor day is kind of in the fall, Columbus day (that's totally a holiday you celebrate right?), Veteran's day, Thanksgiving (amazing food, I feel my pants getting tighter just at the thought), over four people in my family have b'days in November (including my husband!), more family members have b'days in December (most importantly is... ME, you thought I was going to say Jesus... I probably should have) and Christmas!  Yes, I am already thinking of it... so excited to decorate!  Anywhoooo... on to the edit!

Point of post

When Chris and I got married we registered like most couples and like most couples we know, we didn't get much off our list.  One of the few things we bought off our list with gift cards was this wall hanging.  Chris and I are lovers of wine, more red but whites are ok too ;P  It is one purchase that I am still glad we made...   Unlike the cliche, I don't like spending money and usually wish I hadn't made the purchase.  From the random to the point of the post...

Pulled up the light (fill and high light), I pulled down the shadows a bit.  I saturated the color a small amount and warmed up the palette a small bit too.  Simple, done in a few minutes and free (Picasa!)

Color Wheel!

Yet another challenge... though random at times I enjoy these challenges because it is exactly a challenge.  It makes me think outside the box, and take pictures I wouldn't think to take!  Today is brought in by Kat Eye and it is capturing the color wheel.

I Heart Faces Challenge

Back to school... yet again.  Thanks for now that I am not apart of this educational migration!
