My sister is getting married in just under two months. My favorite and only sister and her fiance made a choice, a difficult choice. They chose not to kiss before they get married. Not once, no pecks, nothing.
So here is a sneak peak of some of the shots of my sister and her soon to be husband! I hope you enjoy!
Before:
After:
Pulled up the high lights, filtered the B & W through a deep green and then pulled out the light a bit.
A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.

A great shot and I love the post processing. A difficult choice indeed! I hope they found the challenge provided what they were looking for.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. A tough choice they have made.
ReplyDeleteLovely processing! Imagine the feeling when he hears the words, "You may now kiss the bride..."
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet shot - and I love the bw processing, but I kinda miss the color too.
ReplyDeletelove it in the bw. totally different picture and you so notice the sparkly lights in the second/processed shot. thanks for explaining what you did, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and oh my, what a special guy and girl. They are saving the BEST for their wedding.
ReplyDeleteSo proud of them!!!

This is such a beautiful photograph. I love the black and white conversion just as much as I love the color. So beautifully captured. congratulations to your sister on her upcoming wedding!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing at The Creative Exchange.
Have a great day!

No kissing? For how long? Wow! What a choice! I actually like both of them. There's a distinct feel in each one.
ReplyDeleteThat's a new one on me. I've heard of lots of couples waiting until they were engaged, but married?
ReplyDeleteWow. that's quite a challenge.
Great shot. I like it both ways!
=)
Beautiful edit but I really like the before shot too! Its nice seeing the colors of the lights in the background! And man, no kissing? thats the best part! hehe ;)
ReplyDeleteI really like this shot in black and white. The focus is so much more on the people and not the background lights. And have never seen that quote...but love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a sweet photo! And props to people that choose to wait to have their first kiss till their wedding day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and edit. Love the moment you captured!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot...that is a very difficult choice they made. How sweet that kiss will be on their wedding day!
ReplyDeleteIt is a difficult choice to make. I didn't do it. I didn't kiss anyone before the man I married (then again I didn't date anyone before him... I didn't really like the idea of marriage so I felt like dating would be, to a degree a waste) but we DEFINITELY kissed well before our wedding day.
ReplyDeleteTo each their own... and in this case difficult path. The only thing that is hard for me to get over is that their first kiss ever will be in front of over 200 people...
Thanks for all the compliments! It took me a while to decide to go B & W on this one; I loved all the colors but wanted them to "Pop" a bit more. There will be more to come of them and their night session... and them in a day session too!
What a challenge! I kiss all the time including plants and strange animals!
ReplyDeleteThe shots are both great ;-)
Congrats! You've been selected as the top 3! This means next week you can select your top photo entry! :-) Thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for picking me!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo in both color and B & W! Not sure I could have made it through that challenge..ha ha!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely shot! The edit is stunning and makes the expression of adoration on his face stand out. The light in the background is amazing! Thank you for sharing and for linking up with Tones on Tuesday.
